At Zone Lighting, we are committed to providing the recreational sports community with comfortable and precise performance outdoor lighting systems that have a minimal environmental impact on surrounding neighborhoods and communities. We were founded in 2001 when we began developing our unique, full cut-off optical systems that are the key to our glare controlled performance.

Our approach to illuminating sports fields is quite different from typical lighting manufacturers. Others struggle to control glare by utilizing 50 year old technology tilted floodlights with visors and/or louvers. The Zone system utilizes the method of incorporating full cut-off, un-tilted shoebox style luminaires with state-of-the-art high performance forward throw optical systems that cast all the light downward onto the playing field, not upward into the sky. The result is our patent-pending system that emits NO light above the horizontal plane of the luminaires
dramatically reducing glare, and essentially eliminating sky glow!

Over the last several years, communities have become more sensitive to light pollution in the form of sky-glow and both on-site and off-site glare. The Zone system, with the absence of light emission above the horizontal plane of the luminaires, is the answer to the glare and sky-glow problems faced by players, spectators, and surrounding communities today.
